The number of cards coming in has dwindled down as some of the locations I am mailing to seem to take for ever to get their mail.  :(  Here are some lovely cards that came in yesterday though.  Two from China and one from Russia.

The Lost Knight Book Blast

The Lost Knight by Candy Atkins

How am I supposed to save the world when I'm not strong, not brave, not smart, and not particularly good at most things? I ran away from home the day after my thirteenth birthday when Auntie and her weird friend attacked me. Now I'm on the run with the Grim Reaper and a scary soldier. And I'm no longer on Earth. They were expecting me to be a Knight. The savior that's supposed to stop a war and prevent the invasion of Earth. But I'm not. They grabbed the wrong girl. I just don’t know how to tell them.

When wills clash and hearts collide, who will reign victorious?

Termed an Incomparable during her first London season, Lady Harriett Cavendish is beautiful, spirited, and confident, capturing the attention of a great many suitors. Unfortunately, they all failed to capture her attention, and she concluded the season as unattached as she’d begun it.

Only weeks prior to her second season, Harriett encounters Lieutenant Christopher Jamison while visiting Tanglewood Manor. Recently returned from war, the lieutenant is everything that Harriett's previous suitors were not. He’s arrogant, ungentlemanly, irritating, and challenges her at every opportunity. When he goes too far, Harriett decides that it’s time to turn the tables on him. But as she sets out to put the lieutenant in his place once and for all, she discovers there is more to him than meets the eye, and when it comes to matters of the heart, she has no control whatsoever.

2) For breakfast, I have usually cream of wheat.  Occasionally Cherrios to change up the routine.

3) An instrument that I would like to play is the guitar.

4) I always try to do too much stuff at once because I am so super busy all of the time.

From The TBR Pile Review: Stardust

From multi award-winning creator of "The Sandman", Neil Gaiman, comes the incredible work that broke new ground in graphic novel storytelling, re-issued in a deluxe hardback edition with a new cover and eight additional pages of bonus material. Together with acclaimed artist Charles Vess, Gaiman returns to the realm of Faerie for a lavishly illustrated tale of an ancient world where magic and humanity mingle in extraordinary ways. Gaiman's exquisitely crafted text and Vess' breathtaking illustrations combine to create a novel with pictures, an adult fairy tale that plunges the reader into the very heart of an enchanting magical land. Tying in with the release of the film, this is your chance to own a piece of "Stardust"!

Not on my TBR pile for long I started this book and then wondered off for a bit because I am trying to read all the new Star Wars cannon stuff and then wondered back because that stuff pulls on the heart strings a little too much.

From My TBR Review: The Penderwicks: A Summer Tale of Four Sisters, Two Rabbits, and a Very Interesting Boy

The Penderwick sisters busily discover the summertime magic of Arundel estate’s sprawling gardens, treasure-filled attic, tame rabbits, and the cook who makes the best gingerbread in Massachusetts. Best of all is Jeffrey Tifton, son of Arundel’s owner, the perfect companion for their adventures. Icy-hearted Mrs. Tifton is less pleased with the Penderwicks than Jeffrey, and warns the new friends to stay out of trouble. Is that any fun? For sure the summer will be unforgettable.

This book has been on my to be read pile since before we moved.  I received it in a book swap for favourite young adult book.  The book I sent in exchange was Jack Templar Monster Hunter by Jeff Gunhus, because I always recommend his work when and where I can as I love it.  I feel after finally reading this that it was a good exchange.

This was a fun book, a family vacation can lead to tons of adventures as a child.  I remember the countless antics I got up to as a kid exploring on vacation and meeting ot…

The Gratitude Project

I have not done a post on the things that I am grateful for in a while, because I have been busy and stressed and when you are busy and stressed it is hard to remember to find things that you are grateful for.

This week I am grateful for:

- having the chance to spend time with Cat doing fun things this summer
