A to Z Challenge 2020: A





The word that came up for A this year was anniversary and that is perfect because this year in May will mark 9 years for Mike and I.  Meeting Mike and having the joy of having someone in my life who shares all of my favourite things and is always there to support my crazy ideas has meant the world to me.


Whether it is dressing up with me for conventions or waking up at insane hours in the morning to go do 5ks he is always there for me and it makes me feel like the luckiest person in the world.  I look forward to the next 9 years and beyond.

When I was much younger than I am now, I loved nothing more that a good "spooky" story.  I spent many nights laying up in bed reading books that were designed to make your skin crawl and leave you with goose bumps. My personal favourite author for Young Adult Thrillers was and probably still is Christopher Pike.  Twenty years after reading his books some of them still stand out in my mind in perfect clarity.  The top one would be Remember Me. Something about Shari's story struck a chord with me that has echoed through the last twenty years, as any good book should I suppose. Sadly when I was a teenager I didn't hold on to as many books as I do now so I spend a lot of time hunting to replace the ones I really wish I had kept. (Sweet Valley High anyone?) A to Z Challenge 2020 Theme

It has been a while since I have been here on the blog but I decided that since I was home and unable to do much else I would throw down for the A to Z Challenge this year.  I know that I have tried specific themes in the past, usually reading related but themes very much seem to hold me back. This year my theme is random, literally, I went to randomwordgenerator.com and put in the letters and picked the first word that came up.  It has made for an interesting list, one that has come up with a lot of topics for posts that will hopefully inspire myself writing them and anyone reading them this year. I know that we are all going through varying degrees of tough times right now but we need to find the bright spots when and where we can. I look forward to reading everyone's blogs in April. Melissa
