Throwback Thursday: September 17, 2015

Going back to Fan Expo 2015 and my Gala Fluttershy Cosplay.  I really had a lot of fun with this and enjoyed the day a great deal.

Currently: September 16, 2015

{I read Jamie Morrow's Currently every week and I always want to hop on board because it seems like such a fun way to keep you guys updated on the stuff going on in my life so here I am.}

That my kids are happy with their new school, nothing worried me more about moving than the kids not adjusting well to a different school.

Touch of Frost by Jennifer Estep, I received this book as part of a YA swap and so far I am really loving it.  Sadly with all the boxes left to unpack my reading time is limited right now.

When we moved I also cut the cable as I was paying a small fortune but never home to watch anything so now I am catching up on shows via Netflix and Shomi. Right now I am watching Royal Pains on Shomi, the first time I watched it I missed a whole bunch of episodes so I am really loving it right now.

Listening To...

Right now I am all about Audible, I find something very something about being read to.  It's fantastic for working out too.

Thinking About...

Right now I have the holidays on my mind, moving into a smaller place means that my sister is taking over holiday meals and that makes me a little sad.

Getting to do more crafts now that I have more time at home.

The weather would pick a temperature so that my migraines settle down.

Making Me Happy...

I am really enjoying getting to spend more time with my family, I think it's beneficial all around.

Express Yourself: September 14 to September 18, 2015

The Express Yourself Weekly Meme is hosted Bouquet Of Books and Entertaining Interests.  This week's topic is: What book/movie are you planning to read/watch next?

I am really looking forward to reading and watching The Martian, I have heard good things about the book and the movie looks fantastic.

Express Yourself: WIP Playlist

The Express Yourself Weekly Meme is hosted Bouquet Of Books and Entertaining Interests.  This week's topic is: Share a list of songs from your WIP playlist. Not a writer?  Share some of your fave songs at the moment.

My writing playlist is long and varied, I like to listen to a wide variety of music. My top five on my playlist right now are:

    1. Rapunzel By Emilie Autumn

    1. Nothing Else Matters By Metallica

    1. Toxic By Brittany Spears

    1. Genie in a Bottle By Christina Aguilera

    1. Hold Each Other By A Great Big World

I am slowly catching up on my posts.  I really love some of these topics which is why I am doing them now instead of just moving on.

100 Days of Being Geek Chic and Healthy: Day 5

Day 5: What do hope to learn from this project?

  • The biggest thing I hope to learn from this project is being comfortable in my own skin.  I am well into adulthood and it's only now that I find I am finding friends who accept me and the things I like the way they are.
  • Also I want to work on the whole process of blogging through a challenge and answering questions about myself as that is not something I am very good at.
I am way, way behind on this but moving really threw me off kilter.  The time for catching up on my blogging is now.  Check out the Google Community for more on 100 Days of Being Geek Chic and Healthy.

Celebrate The Small Things: September 4, 2015

Celebrate the Small Things is hosted by Lexa Cain along with wonderful co- hosts Writing Off The Edge and The Cyborg Mom.

Looking into the last weekend of summer it's hard to find things to celebrate, the kids are all ready for school on Tuesday but we are still facing more boxes to unpack than ones that have been unpacked. :(

Fan Expo is this weekend and due to time just not being on my side we had to switch up costumes last minute.  Which at any other time would have been easy...with everything mostly still not unpacked it was interesting.  I have pieces to 7 or 8 different cosplays but only can come up with 1 complete one other than my originally planned ones.  At least that doesn't involve full, heavy make up.

What are you celebrating? Are your kids already back to school or like Cat and Ace are they enjoying one last weekend of freedom?
