Anansi Boys Review


I had been looking forward to reading this since I finished American Gods but I try to limit the amount of new books I bring into my house in any one period.  (not like it works)  I did pick it up on a before the movies book shopping trip with the rug rats and I am ever so glad I did.

Mr. Nancy was my favourite of the peripheral characters in American Gods, there's something about the way he is portrayed that just draws you in.  I was more than enthusiastic about getting to hear his story in a more in depth manner.

I didn't connect with Fat Charlie right at the beginning of the book, he was more of a slow hook character for me, it was as gradual as his development in the story.  Once I did fall for him though, it was completely and I was sad for the book to end, it was like losing a friend.

January Goals Update One

January has been an interesting month for me so far.  I had a strong start thanks to using my Audible credit for December on a "self help book" which really shook me into action.  My first week of cross offs are in purple. 

This month's goals:

1) Get diath piercing.

2) Clean up my book shelves.

3) Put pictures into photo albums.

4) Design daily planner printable since I can't find one I like.

5) Finish the one section of my fitness course.

6) Finish one section of my update course.

7) Finish one section of my event planing course.

8) Earn one CE credit.

9) Start a book club.

10) Read 5 books towards my Goodreads Challenge.

11) List 3 things in my Etsy Shop.

12) Set up a dedicated crafting area.

13) Write every day.

14) Prep lunches in advance.

15) Make a meal plan for February.

16) Clean out Dvd's.

17) Unsubscribe from unwanted emails.

18) Go to the ROM.
